Victoria, this is our new little beloved display cabinet! This small storage unit from the 60s is made up of a shelf and a glass display cabinet. It is the perfect piece of furniture to display your books or trinkets in your bedroom or a corner of the living room.

A short history of the window display
The term "showcase" appeared in the 18th century, although this type of furniture has its roots in Renaissance cabinets of curiosities. Composed of glass doors and shelves, the display case is designed to display and protect precious objects, porcelain, and souvenirs. Originally, this piece of furniture was a symbol of prestige, allowing noble and bourgeois families to showcase their collections. The display case quickly became a central element of living rooms, embodying the taste for exhibition and conservation. Today, it is finding its place in our interiors as an essential part of decoration.
