This pink marble and white wood dressing table brings a soft, country-style touch with a delicately powdery appeal. Its marble top and modest size allow it to easily find its place in a bedroom, where it provides a lovely space for daily rituals. The shallow drawer is perfect for small accessories, while the wood warms up the whole piece with simple elegance. As a vintage find, it pairs just as well with an antique mirror as it does with light linen bedroom textiles. It will look stunning near a window, accompanied by a glass vase and a few bottles placed on the marble. As a second-hand piece, it bears the traces of its history: a little wear on the bottom shelf.

A little history of the dressing table
The term “coiffeuse” (dressing table) appeared at the beginning of the 20th century, though the piece of furniture has existed since antiquity. Composed of a tabletop, one or more mirrors, and numerous drawers, the dressing table is a storage piece, but above all a place for preparation where one applies makeup, perfume, and styles hair. While originally intended for both men and women, it quickly became the incarnation of feminine mystery. The dressing table could indeed be equipped with secret hiding places for intimate correspondence. Today, the dressing table is back in the spotlight and works beautifully in any interior style!
