Sculpted from light pink plastic, these four Masters model armchairs by Kartell add a contemporary and refined touch to a dining table or office. Their seats offer comfortable support, while their backrests create a graphic relief that energizes the room without making it feel heavy. The plastic is suitable for daily use and pairs easily with light wood, a glass table, or understated textiles. As a set of four, they allow for the creation of a harmonious dining area or a stylish waiting space. This second-hand piece retains the memory of its history: a few signs of wear.

A brief history of the armchair
While the chair is designed for work or dining, the armchair emerged in the 17th century with a single purpose: rest. Its name derives from the Old French "faudesteuil," a folding seat for dignitaries, but it evolved under Louis XV to become a piece of comfort equipped with armrests. Unlike the chair, it features a wider seat and a reclined backrest, inviting conversation rather than rigid posture. Whether it is a "bergère" with enclosed sides to shelter from drafts or a lighter "bridge" armchair, it embodies the evolution of the art of living.
