Adopt this Storvik armchair, designed by Carl Öjerstam for Ikea, produced in limited numbers in the 2000s. Its bamboo and woven rattan structure creates a warm and natural atmosphere, perfect for your living room or reading nook. A brief history of the armchair
While chairs are for working or dining, armchairs were created in the 17th century with a single purpose: rest. Its name derives from the Old French "faudesteuil," a folding dignitary's seat, but it evolved under Louis XV to become this comfortable piece of furniture with armrests.
