A short history of the Louis Philippe
At the time, the mirrors of the great monarchs were recognizable by their ornate cornices. But during the reign of Louis Philippe, a bourgeois style developed, less concerned with originality than with comfort. Louis Philippe's mirrors were then intended to be more sober and refined.
