Welcome to Caroline, creator of J'aime J'aime - Part 2
As promised, here is the continuation of our XXL home tour at Caroline. After discovering the large living room and the master bedroom, let's go upstairs to access the first floor. Up there, we will visit the three children's bedrooms and the second living room with its magnificent glass roof. This floor perfectly reflects the right balance that reigns from the living room , between well thought-out spaces and neat little details. Good visit !
Where do you find your inspirations?
I am inspired by everything around me. An exhibition, a trip, encounters. At the moment, I really like the creations of Pierre Yovanovitch or the furniture of Christophe Delcourt. In my wildest dreams, I would have a work by Claire Tabouret.
What place does the flea market occupy in your interior?
Beyond a responsible approach, I have always liked treasures that have a soul, pieces of history. I feel good when I wander around a flea market, and I can spend hours on sites specializing in flea markets. I find that this type of furniture brings charm to an interior. I have no particular knowledge of furniture in terms of years, style… I choose by feeling. But what I particularly like is mixing antique furniture with modern. I find interest in the clash of styles.
What is the room in your home where you like to spend the most time?
My favorite place is our living room under the glass roof. We settle down there every evening with the children to read, put the world to rights, laugh… Sometimes we make a giant hut, install the mattresses and sleep together while looking at the stars. It's our own little paradise.
What is your favorite piece from Debongout?
To choose is to give up, and it's too difficult for me! I really like a lot of pieces at Debongout. I generally eye all the old mirrors in the collection, but also the trunks in which you can hide treasures. For furniture, I fell in love with Edouard, the wooden desk.
What do you think is good taste?
I don't know if it tastes good. There are good tastes, as long as you are in harmony with your interior and that it corresponds to you. In any case, I would say that good taste is to dare , not to feel constrained by the rules of good taste dictated by your social environment, not to set limits.
And if you missed the first part of this home tour, it's here that it happens to catch up!
