This light wood desk with a mottled finish blends an Art Deco look with a restrained presence, ideal for a study or bedroom. Its long drawer beneath the top provides discreet storage, while the four side drawers, including the three at the bottom, make it easy to organize papers and accessories. The graphic rectangular metal handles accentuate its clean lines, and the wood grain naturally complements its patina. Fitted with a back panel, this piece maintains a neat appearance and can easily be placed against a wall, with a desk lamp, notebook, and a few books close at hand. On the top, an inkwell and ceramic vase complete a refined and understated setting.

A brief history of the desk
It all began with the "bure," a thick brown wool cloth that covered the tables of copying monks to protect their precious manuscripts. By extension, the table itself eventually took the name of the fabric that covered it: the desk. Unlike a secretary desk, it is defined by its wide fixed top and exposed legs, offering an unadorned space for reflection. Also known as a "flat desk," it remains the centerpiece for anchoring a workspace with character.
