A brief history of the display cabinet
Born in the 18th century, the display cabinet transformed the closed sideboard into a theater for precious objects, protected from dust yet offered to the gaze. It originally served as a "showcase" for goldsmiths, using glass—then a highly luxurious material—to signal the household's wealth before even revealing its contents. Its light structure, punctuated by transparent walls and often adjustable shelves, allows you to stage your collections without visually cluttering the space. Today, it remains the ideal piece of furniture for bringing clarity to a room while transforming your memories and curiosities into a personal and refined exhibition.
