A brief history of the display cabinet
Born in the 18th century, the display cabinet transformed the closed sideboard into a theater for precious objects, protected from dust yet open to view. Originally used by goldsmiths as a "showcase," it utilized glass—a highly luxurious material at the time—to signal the household's wealth before even revealing its contents. Its light structure, punctuated by transparent walls and often adjustable shelves, allows you to stage your collections without visually cluttering the space. Today, it remains the ideal piece of furniture to bring clarity to a room while transforming your memories and curiosities into a personal and refined exhibition.
