A Brief History of the Display Cabinet
Born in the 18th century, the display cabinet transformed the closed sideboard into a stage for precious objects, protected from dust yet visible. It originally served as a "showcase" for goldsmiths, using glass, then a luxury material, to signal the wealth of the household even before revealing its contents. Its light structure, punctuated by its transparent walls and often adjustable shelves, allows collections to be displayed without visually cluttering the space. Today, it remains the ideal piece of furniture to bring clarity to a room while transforming your memories and curios into a personal and refined exhibition.
