Discover this floral gold metal wall sconce, whose delicate design adds a country and vintage touch to your decor. Its golden finish subtly catches the light and highlights the relief of the motif, offering a refined effect on a living room, hallway, or bedroom wall. Thanks to its shallow profile, it fits easily into a transitional space, such as above a piece of furniture or a headboard. The metal gives it an elegant stance, perfect for composing a decor with patinated wood, linen, or light ceramics. In a hallway, it will create a luminous scene alongside an antique mirror and a floral painting. 3 available.

A brief history of the wall sconce
The wall sconce is descended from medieval "light arms," those torches fixed to walls to illuminate corridors without obstructing the passage. Long before electricity, it was a marvel of ingenuity: it often incorporated a mirror plate or polished metal at the back, a technical trick essential for doubling the candle's glow through simple reflection. In the 18th century, it moved from passageways to reception rooms, adorning itself with bronze and crystal to become a true instrument of theatricality. Its wall position allowed it to highlight woodwork and architectural reliefs, creating plays of shadow impossible to achieve with central lighting.
