This dark wood dining table brings an elegant country touch to everyday meals. Its wooden top offers a pleasant surface for setting lunch, seating four guests, or placing a few dishes in the center of the table. The dark wood gives it a warm tone, easy to combine with wooden chairs, vintage linens, or stoneware tableware in a dining room. As a second-hand piece, it naturally finds its place in a curated interior where authentic materials and pieces with character are favored. Like any vintage piece of furniture, it bears the marks of its past: a few signs of wear.

A brief history of the farmhouse table
A centerpiece of rural life in the 19th century, the farmhouse table was crafted to last for generations and accommodate large peasant gatherings. It is recognizable by its thick solid wood top, often marked by the passage of time, and its sturdy legs, sometimes connected by a stretcher or crossbar. Known as a "refectory table" or "kitchen table," it was designed to withstand daily chores as well as family banquets.
