This light wood oyster farmer's table, sourced from antiques and inspired by the country spirit, brings a bold elegance to a dining room. Its wooden tabletop offers a beautiful surface for large meals, desserts served in the center, and long conversations around the same table. With its generous proportions, it easily accommodates up to 20 guests and naturally structures a reception space. Paired with wooden chairs, vintage tableware, and a bouquet of wildflowers, it creates a warm and understated setting.

A brief history of the farmhouse table
A centerpiece of rural life in the 19th century, the farmhouse table was crafted to last for generations and host large peasant gatherings. It is recognizable by its thick solid wood top, often marked by the passage of time, and its sturdy base, which may or may not be connected by a "foot rail" or stretcher. Known as a "refectory table" or "kitchen table," it was designed to withstand daily chores as well as family banquets.
