With its workshop aesthetic, this wooden and metal school stool fits naturally into a country-style interior with understated relief. Its round light-wood seat rests on a white frame, creating a soft contrast that works just as well in a kitchen as in a home office corner. The combination of wood and metal gives it a sober presence, easy to pair with an antique table, a console, or a countertop. Placed near a window, it happily accompanies a stoneware vase or a stack of magazines. Slight signs of wear from time are present. Multiple units available.

A brief history of the stool
As the oldest type of seat in history, the stool is the direct ancestor of the chair, distinguished by its lack of a backrest and armrests. In the Middle Ages, it was the universal seat for commoners, while among the nobility, the "right to a stool" became a highly codified court privilege, allowing ladies to sit in the presence of the king. Its structure, resting on three or four legs, is a feat of stability and lightness, designed to be tucked under a table or moved with a simple gesture. Whether it is a raw wood farmhouse stool or an industrial style piece, it now embodies the ultimate space-saving furniture, offering extra seating that never clutters the room.
