This wooden bedside table, with a country-house feel, adds a warm touch to the bedside. Its narrow shape fits easily into any bedroom, and its three drawers offer valuable storage for evening essentials. The shelf below adds a welcome level of utility for keeping a book, a pair of glasses, or a nightlight within reach. Sourced as a vintage, second-hand find, it pairs easily with linen bedding, a ceramic lamp, or a few decorative objects placed on top. As a second-hand item, it bears the marks of its past: a few signs of wear and tear.

A short history of the bedside table
Since the Middle Ages, the term "chevet" has referred to a small piece of furniture placed next to a bed. Initially designed as a stand for a lamp or personal items, the bedside table has evolved over time to include drawers and shelves. Now an essential bedroom piece, it combines functionality with design, adapting to every interior style.
