Maximilien, the small glass-fronted cabinet No. 414

This light wood china cabinet charms with its country look and delicate proportions. Its glass front, secured by a lock, showcases dinnerware, glassware, or a few select items while keeping them protected. The three shelves offer an organized space to arrange a small collection of dishes, jars, or mugs, whether in a kitchen or a living room. Its light wood pairs naturally with linen, ceramic, or more rustic decor for a soft and polished ambiance. Topped with a few antique plates and a bouquet of dried flowers, it creates a stylish scene.

A brief history of the china cabinet
A direct evolution of the family sideboard, the china cabinet emerged in the 18th century to display the household's wealth through its finest earthenware pieces. Its structure is distinguished by an upper section that is either open or glazed, once featuring "notches"—specific indentations to hold plates vertically and protect them from damage. Whether called a "dresser" or a "two-body sideboard," it is designed to bring verticality and character to a living space.
