A brief history of the sideboard
The first Scandinavian sideboards appeared in the 1950s. The Scandinavian-style sideboard is part of the innovative post-war furniture movement. Its airy lines and rectilinear volumes reflect the sober, modernist-inspired style, with all the characteristics of Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish designers. The Scandinavian sideboard is made using traditional cabinetmaking techniques, typically from teak wood. It was used as a replacement for the traditional dining room buffet and now serves as a console. For a stylish and pleasant living room, the sideboard is the perfect piece of furniture!
