A brief history of the sideboard
It was in the 1950s that the first Scandinavian sideboards appeared. The Scandinavian-style sideboard is part of the innovative post-war furniture. Its airy lines and rectilinear volumes adopt the sober modernist-inspired style, with all the characteristics of Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish designers... The Scandinavian sideboard is made using traditional cabinetmaking, usually from teak wood. It is used as a replacement for the traditional dining room buffet and now serves as a console. For a stylish and pleasant living room, the sideboard is the perfect piece of furniture!
