A brief history of the sideboard
It was in the 1950s that the first Scandinavian sideboards appeared. The Scandinavian-style sideboard is part of the innovative post-war furniture movement. Its airy lines and rectilinear volumes reflect the sober, modernist-inspired style, with all the characteristics of Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish designers... The Scandinavian sideboard is crafted using traditional cabinetmaking techniques, generally in teak wood. It was used to replace the traditional dining room buffet and now often serves as a console table. For a stylish and comfortable living room, the sideboard is the perfect piece of furniture!
