A brief history of the sideboard
The first Scandinavian sideboards appeared in the 1950s. The Scandinavian-style sideboard was part of the innovative furniture of the post-war period. Its airy lines and rectilinear volumes adopted the sober style of modernist inspiration, featuring all the hallmarks of Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish designers. The Scandinavian sideboard is crafted using traditional cabinet-making techniques, typically in teak wood. It was used as a replacement for the traditional dining room buffet and now serves as a console. For a stylish and comfortable living room, the sideboard is the perfect piece of furniture!
