A brief history of the enfilade
It was in the 1950s that the first Scandinavian sideboards appeared. The Scandinavian-style sideboard is part of the innovative furniture of the post-war era. Its airy lines and rectilinear volumes reflect the understated, modernist-inspired style, with all the hallmarks of Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish designers. The Scandinavian sideboard is crafted using traditional cabinetmaking techniques, generally in teak. It is used as a replacement for the traditional dining room buffet and now also serves as a console table. For a stylish and inviting living room, the sideboard is the perfect piece of furniture!
