Description

Discover this vintage low sideboard full of character, dating from the 1960s/70s. Fully restored, it was sanded and then painted in an elegant verdigris, close to the "Green Smoke" tone. It has three drawers and two cupboards, the fronts of which have been lined with patterned paper inspired by the world of Mucha. The patinated gold metal handles add a beautiful retro touch. A few traces of its former color bear witness to its history.

A short history of the enfilade
The first Scandinavian sideboards appeared in the 1950s. The Scandinavian-style sideboard is part of the innovative post-war furniture. Its airy lines and rectilinear volumes reflect the sober style of modernist inspiration, with all the characteristics of Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish designers. The Scandinavian sideboard is made of traditional cabinetry, generally teak wood. It is used as a replacement for the traditional dining room buffet and now serves as a console table. For a designer and pleasant living room, the sideboard is the perfect piece of furniture!
