Description

Discover this Dunvegan sideboard, produced by McIntosh in the 1960s and designed by Tom Robertson. It features sculpted handles and a teak structure. It features three drawers, two hinged doors opening onto a shelf with rounded edges, and a bar area on the right with a sliding top. Functional and elegant, it embodies all the expertise of Scottish vintage furniture. A true favorite for lovers of iconic pieces.

A short history of the enfilade
The first Scandinavian sideboards appeared in the 1950s. The Scandinavian-style sideboard is part of the innovative post-war furniture. Its airy lines and rectilinear volumes reflect the sober style of modernist inspiration, with all the characteristics of Norwegian, Swedish, and Finnish designers. The Scandinavian sideboard is made of traditional cabinetry, generally teak wood. It is used as a replacement for the traditional dining room buffet and now serves as a console table. For a designer and pleasant living room, the sideboard is the perfect piece of furniture!
