This pair of dark wood veneer bedside tables adds a contemporary and polished touch to the bedroom. Each combines a door, three drawers, and an open compartment, providing versatile storage to keep books, glasses, and evening essentials close at hand. The steel handles, dark gray top, light wood doors, and light gray legs create a balanced and elegant contrast. They fit naturally on either side of a bed, paired with a discreet floor lamp or a bedside lamp placed on top. Adorned with a novel, a glass of water, and a small vase, they structure the space with a sober aesthetic. As second-hand pieces, they carry the history of their past: they show some signs of wear.

A brief history of the bedside table
Since the Middle Ages, the term "chevet" has referred to a small piece of furniture placed next to the bed. Initially designed as a support for a lamp or personal items, the bedside table has evolved over time to include drawers and shelves. Essential in the bedroom, it now combines functionality and design, adapting to all interior styles.
