Delicate and graphic, this gold canework bedside table adds a vintage yet contemporary touch to the bedroom. Its glass shelf lightens the silhouette, while its small cupboard offers discreet storage to keep books, glasses, or evening essentials within reach. With its measured size, it easily finds its place next to the bed, but also in a living room as an accent piece. The high alcove easily accommodates a few everyday items, and the whole piece pairs well with linen bedding, a brass lamp, or a wall in muted tones. As a second-hand piece, it bears the marks of its history: slightly damaged.

A brief history of the bedside table
Since the Middle Ages, the term "chevet" (bedside table) has referred to a small piece of furniture placed next to the bed. Initially designed as a support for a lamp or personal items, the bedside table evolved over time to include drawers and shelves. Essential in the bedroom, it now combines functionality and design, adapting to all interior styles.
