A brief history of the dressing table
The term "dressing table" appeared at the beginning of the 20th century, although the piece of furniture has existed since Antiquity. Composed of a tabletop, one or more mirrors, and numerous drawers, the dressing table is a storage unit, but above all a place for preparation where one applies makeup, perfume, and styles their hair. While originally this furniture suited both men and women, it quickly became the embodiment of feminine mystery. The dressing table could indeed be equipped with secret compartments, to hold intimate correspondence. Today, the dressing table is making a comeback and works very well in all interior styles!
