This vintage rattan, bamboo, and glass coffee table blends a countryside aesthetic with a light spirit, underscored by its two-tone design in light and dark wood. The glass top reveals the wickerwork beneath and provides a clear surface, while the space under the top allows you to tuck away a few books, a flat basket, or a folded throw. Its size is perfect for a living room where you are looking for a subtle yet refined coffee table, easy to pair with a linen sofa, a ceramic lamp, or a wooden armchair. It naturally finds its place in front of the sofa, with a bouquet of wildflowers and a few magazines placed on the glass.

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table did not truly appear until the early 20th century, with the evolution of living rooms toward greater comfort and relaxation. Its structure, deliberately low to align with the seat of armchairs, is inspired by Oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Known as a "living room table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous top supported by a short, sturdy base.
