This dark wood wicker and glass coffee table fits naturally into a country-style interior, balancing braided material with a transparent top. Its assembly combines the visual lightness of glass with the texture of wicker, resulting in a second-hand piece with a refined and unique look. It slips easily into a living room to hold a book, a catch-all tray, or a cup, while keeping the center of the room uncluttered. Its cubic shape allows it to dialogue with a linen armchair, a ceramic lamp, or a woven rug without weighing down the space. On its surface, a bouquet of fresh flowers and a few beautiful books create a simple and elegant scene.

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table only truly appeared at the beginning of the 20th century as living rooms evolved toward greater comfort and relaxation. Its structure, deliberately low to align with the seat height of armchairs, was inspired by Oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Referred to as a "living room table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous top supported by a short, sturdy base.
