With its oval top and dark solid oak, this vintage coffee table brings a refined country feel to the living room. Once a dining table converted into a coffee table, it retains a rich, textured look and a warm presence, while offering a generous surface for books, trays, and bouquets. Its vintage construction, dating back to 1900, makes it a second-hand piece that pairs effortlessly with a linen sofa, a woven rug, or seating in distressed wood. In a living room, it readily accommodates a table lamp and a few decorative objects, creating a simple and elegant living space.

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table only truly emerged in the early 20th century as living rooms evolved to become more comfortable and relaxing. Its deliberately low structure, designed to align with the seat of armchairs, draws inspiration from Oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Referred to as a "living room table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous top supported by a short, sturdy base.
