The light oak of this second-hand coffee table brings a soft, rustic touch to a living room, with a subtle presence that is easy to style. Its generous top accommodates books, ceramics, or a lamp, while its height makes it perfect for placing in the center of a sofa for reading or coffee time. The blonde wood pairs just as well with a linen sofa as it does with a few vintage finds, creating a calm and refined atmosphere. Tucked in front of an armchair, it holds a serving tray and a bouquet of dried flowers. As a second-hand piece, it keeps the memory of its past: a few signs of wear.

A short history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table did not truly emerge until the early 20th century as living rooms evolved toward greater comfort and relaxation. Its structure, intentionally low to align with the seating height of armchairs, was inspired by oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Known as a "salon table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous surface supported by short, sturdy legs.
