This dark wood and grey metal coffee table asserts a farmhouse look, enhanced by the combination of the metal tabletop and the wooden structure. This second-hand piece naturally finds its place in the living room, right next to a sofa, where its modest height accommodates books, a lamp, or a cup of coffee. Its two drawers offer discreet storage for remote controls, notebooks, or small everyday items, while the dark wood adds a warm touch. On the tabletop, a vase, a few magazines, and an appetizer tray create a convivial and polished scene. As a second-hand piece, it carries the memory of its past: a few traces of time.

A brief history of the coffee table
Unlike dining tables, the coffee table did not truly appear until the early 20th century with the evolution of living rooms toward greater comfort and relaxation. Its structure, intentionally low to align with the seating of armchairs, is inspired by oriental tea tables and 19th-century coffee stands. Called a "living room table" or "cocktail table," it is defined by its generous tabletop supported by a short, sturdy base.
