With its blue Formica top and black edges, this second-hand dining table brings a sober and refined presence to the dining room. The Formica offers an easy-to-live-with surface, while the vintage bistro legs give it an inspired look and a very clear Art Deco note. Designed for everyday meals as well as more convivial lunches, it seats four to six guests without cluttering the room. Its proportions allow it to fit into an open kitchen or a dining nook, with plenty of space around the chairs. Set it with white tableware and a glass vase to create a clean and elegant ensemble.

A brief history of the dining table
Long absent from interiors, the dining table did not appear as a fixed piece of furniture until the 18th century with the birth of the dedicated dining room. Previously, people would "set the table" on simple trestles that were put away after the meal to free up space. Whether round, oval, or rectangular, it is defined by its generous tabletop supported by a central base or legs at the four corners. Also called a "dining room table" or "reception table," it is the beating heart of the home, designed to anchor moments of sharing with durability and style.
