This contemporary beige Formica dining table charms with its sober lines and luminous appeal. Its extendable top accommodates everyday meals and opens, thanks to the leaves, to host two to four guests without losing its visual lightness. The drawer offers discreet storage for cutlery or small table accessories, while the clearance under the top provides comfortable legroom. In a kitchen or dining room, this second-hand piece easily pairs with metal chairs, stoneware plates, and vintage glassware. As a second-hand item, it bears the marks of its history: slightly pitted metal legs.

A brief history of the dining table
Long absent from interiors, the dining table only appeared as a fixed piece of furniture in the 18th century with the birth of the dedicated dining room. Previously, tables were "set up" on simple trestles that were put away after meals to clear the space. Whether round, oval, or rectangular, it is defined by its generous top supported by a central base or four legs. Also called a "dining room table" or "reception table," it is the beating heart of the home, designed to anchor moments of sharing with durability and style.
