This Baumann-style wooden dining table captivates with its understated presence and contemporary look. Its top extends thanks to a built-in extension stored beneath the tabletop, which unfolds smoothly, while its base remains fixed in the center to ensure excellent stability. In the dining room, it is equally suited to everyday meals and more generous gatherings, with clean lines that complement both modern seating and more classic pieces. Arranged around it, stoneware plates, a few glasses and a low bouquet create an elegant and understated setting.

A brief history of the dining table
Absent from interiors for a long time, the dining table only became a fixed piece of furniture in the 18th century with the emergence of the dedicated dining room. Previously, the table was "set" on simple trestles that were stored away after the meal to free up space. Whether round, oval or rectangular, it is defined by its generous top supported by a central base or four legs at the corners. Also known as a "dining table" or "reception table", it is the heart of the home, designed to anchor moments of togetherness with durability and style.
