With its wooden tripod silhouette and large fabric lampshade, this vintage floor lamp brings a soft, graphic, contemporary touch to the living room. Its floral pattern, in shades of beige, green, and pink, adorns the room with subtlety, while the wooden structure creates a light and stable line. Placed near a sofa or in a reading corner, it diffuses a measured decorative presence and complements both a sober interior and a more eclectic decor. The completely refurbished lampshade gives it a polished finish, easy to pair with linen, a light-colored rug, or a wooden side table. In a bedroom, it will naturally find its place next to an armchair and a stack of books.

A brief history of the floor lamp
An heir to the 17th-century "torch-bearing pedestals," the floor lamp revolutionized lighting by moving light away from the walls to make it mobile. Its height was historically calibrated to project a glow exactly over a reader's shoulder, thus avoiding cast shadows long before the invention of electricity. At the end of the 18th century, the appearance of oil lamps with a steady draft allowed it to shine autonomously and stably, making it the central pivot of reading rooms.
