The black leather of this sofa, supported by a black wooden frame, creates a sleek and contemporary seat that stays true to the spirit of the eighties. Its comfortable seat height and depth invite you to settle in for a reading break or a moment of conversation in the living room. This second-hand piece combines a measured presence with a look that is easy to integrate into a graphic decor, whether paired with a light wood coffee table or a rug in neutral tones. Toss a wool throw and a few simple cushions on it to create an elegant relaxation corner. As a second-hand item, it bears the marks of its past: a few signs of wear and tear.

A brief history of the sofa
Appearing in the 17th century, the sofa was originally a simple ceremonial bench before becoming, under Louis XV, the absolute icon of conversation and relaxation. Its structure is distinguished by a fully upholstered back and seat, once stuffed with horsehair or feathers, the production cost of which often exceeded that of the woodwork itself. Whether "en corbeille" with its enveloping lines or more minimalist, it has evolved from a ceremonial seat to the beating heart of the home.
