A little history of the serving trolley
The serving trolley, also known as a tea trolley or service cart, emerged in the 17th century. At the time, it was used to serve and clear dishes and tableware during meals. Equipped with wheels, it could be moved from one place to another effortlessly, allowing for quicker table clearing by reducing the number of trips between the dining room and the kitchen. It was through this great utility that the trolley became an important piece of furniture, also used for serving tea or breakfast. Over the centuries, this small mobile side table has earned a special place in our homes.
