With its turned silhouette and refined texture, this dark wood side table brings a subtle contemporary touch to a living room or bedroom. The beige rope detail lightens its structure and gives it a unique relief, easy to pair with a linen sofa, a boucle armchair, or a few ceramic objects. Its compact format makes it an ideal accent piece next to an armchair, at the end of a sofa, or as a bedside table. As a vintage find, it appeals with its simple lines and warm material, which fit just as well in a minimalist interior as in a more eclectic decor. Placed with a smoked glass lamp and an art book, it creates a perfectly curated reading corner.

A brief history of the side table
Born in the 17th century under the name "guéridon," the side table owes its origin to the Moorish slaves (called guéridons) depicted on the carved legs of the first models brought back from Italy. This mobile piece of furniture revolutionized social life at court by breaking the rigidity of large sideboards to create conversation areas anywhere in the room. Its light and compact structure was designed to be moved according to needs: to hold a candlestick, a cup of tea, or a bedside book.
