This antique walnut bedside table, now a small sideboard, charms with its discreet presence and the way it brings a country feel to a bedroom. Its single door at the bottom conceals a shelf, while its two small leaves that unfold on the sides offer extra space to keep a book, a lamp, or a few evening essentials close at hand. Well-crafted, this second-hand piece takes up little floor space and fits easily next to a bed, wherever you need storage that is both useful and elegant. The interior niche is perfect for folded linens or everyday objects, all within a vintage-inspired piece. As a pre-loved item, it bears the marks of its history: a few signs of wear from time.

A brief history of the sideboard
Rooted in the everyday life of 19th-century provincial homes, the country sideboard is the guardian of generous meals. Crafted from solid woods like oak or cherry, it is distinguished by its simple lines and unique patina, a testament to the passage of time. Whether called a "low sideboard" or a "two-tier sideboard," it fits into a Rustic or Country Chic style depending on its ornaments. Unlike formal living room furniture, it prioritizes functionality with its large doors and deep drawers.
