A brief history of the sideboard
Anchored in the daily life of 19th-century provincial homes, the country sideboard is the guardian of generous meals. Crafted from solid woods like oak or cherry, it is distinguished by its sober lines and unique patina, a testament to the passage of time. Whether called a "low sideboard" or a "two-tier sideboard," it fits into a Rustic or Farmhouse Chic style depending on its ornaments. Unlike formal living room furniture, it favors functionality with its wide doors and deep drawers.
