This light wood sideboard, with its country style, brings a soft, refined touch to the home. Its generous height gives it a slender look, while its shallow depth allows it to fit in an entryway or against a wall without obstructing the way. Behind its two doors, two shelves offer plenty of storage space for dishes, table linens or a few jars. A vintage find, this second-hand piece charms with its warm material and simple lines, easy to pair with natural decor.

A little history of the sideboard
A fixture in the daily life of 19th-century country homes, the country sideboard is the keeper of generous family meals. Crafted from solid woods such as oak or wild cherry, it is distinguished by its simple lines and unique patina, a testament to the passage of time. Whether called a “low sideboard” or a “two-part sideboard,” it fits into either a rustic or country-chic style, depending on its ornamentation. Unlike formal living room furniture, it prioritizes functionality, with its wide doors and deep drawers.
