This dark wood jam cupboard, sourced secondhand with a country-house spirit, brings a warm touch to both the kitchen and the dining room. Its generous height and small footprint make it a perfectly vertical piece of furniture, ideal for dressing a wall without weighing down the space. The key lock, iron mesh, and two shelves give it the look of a well-crafted china cabinet, designed to hold tableware, table linens, or a few jars. The brown wood pairs beautifully with antique ceramics, natural fiber baskets, and a rustic table. In a family kitchen, it can hold stacked plates, glasses, and jam jars behind its mesh front.

A brief history of the sideboard
Rooted in the everyday life of 19th-century provincial homes, the country sideboard is the guardian of generous gatherings. Crafted from solid woods like oak or cherry, it is distinguished by its sober lines and unique patina, a testament to the passage of time. Whether called a "low sideboard" or a "two-tier sideboard," it fits into a Rustic or Country Chic style depending on its ornaments. Unlike formal living room furniture, it prioritizes functionality with its wide doors and deep drawers.
