With its mint green formica, this second-hand distressed sideboard brings a soft and refined country touch. The presence of white balances the whole and highlights a look that is easy to pair with antique tableware or a few ceramic pieces in the dining room. Its drawers hold small everyday accessories, while the rest of the unit offers storage suitable for plates, glasses, or table linens. The top can accommodate a lamp, a vase, or a serving dish to compose a dining area full of restraint. Like any vintage piece, it bears the marks of its history: normal signs of wear and tear.

A little history of the sideboard
Anchored in the daily life of 19th-century provincial homes, the country sideboard is the guardian of generous gatherings. Crafted from solid woods such as oak or cherry, it is distinguished by its sober lines and unique patina, a witness to the passage of time. Whether called a "low sideboard" or a "two-body sideboard," it fits into a Rustic or Country Chic style depending on its ornaments. Unlike formal living room furniture, it prioritizes functionality with its large doors and deep drawers.
