A short history of the sideboard
Anchored in the daily life of 19th-century provincial homes, the farmhouse sideboard is the guardian of generous meals. Crafted from solid woods such as oak or cherry, it is distinguished by its sober lines and unique patina, a testament to the passage of time. Whether called a "low sideboard" or a "two-tier sideboard," it fits into a Rustic or Country Chic style depending on its ornaments. Unlike formal living room furniture, it favors functionality with its wide doors and deep drawers.
