A brief history of the sideboard
Rooted in the everyday life of 19th-century provincial homes, the country sideboard is the guardian of generous feasts. Crafted from solid woods like oak or cherry, it is distinguished by its sober lines and unique patina, a witness to the passage of time. Whether called a "low sideboard" or a "two-body sideboard," it fits into a Rustic or Country Chic style depending on its ornaments. Unlike formal living room furniture, it prioritizes functionality with its wide doors and deep drawers.
