A brief history of the sideboard
Rooted in the daily life of 19th-century provincial homes, the country sideboard was the guardian of generous tables. Crafted from solid woods like oak or cherry, it stood out with its sober lines and unique patina, a testament to the passage of time. Whether called a "low sideboard" or a "two-piece sideboard," it fit into a Rustic or Country Chic style depending on its ornamentation. Unlike ceremonial living room furniture, it prioritized functionality with its wide doors and deep drawers.
