With its rattan and green trim, this shelf brings a refined country touch. It offers elegant storage for books and fits easily into a living room or bedroom, where its tall, slim shape takes up very little floor space. The woven material gives it a natural look, while the green color discreetly accentuates its contours.

Length: 68 cm
Width: 29 cm
Height: 95 cm

A brief history of the shelf
Long before becoming the sleek piece of furniture we know today, the shelf was nothing more than a simple rough wooden board fixed in kitchens or workshops to keep tools within reach. It earned its stripes in the 18th century as a "gradin," making its way into salons to display precious book bindings or fine porcelain. Its structure, free of doors or side walls, makes it the lightest piece of furniture in the home—a feat of minimalism that frees up floor space while dressing the walls. Today, it is no longer used just for storage, but for showcasing our daily lives, transforming a utilitarian surface into a true living tableau that breathes and lets light circulate.
