With its dark wood and glass pane, this secondhand medicine cabinet brings a soft, country-style touch to a bathroom wall or kitchen. Its vertical format allows it to slip into narrow spaces while offering closed storage behind the glass door and a bottom drawer to keep small essentials close at hand. Designed to be wall-mounted or freestanding, it adapts to your layout and maintains a sober look, easy to pair with natural materials. The wood and glass create a balanced ensemble that is both discreet and decorative. In a bathroom, it holds bottles and accessories, while the bottom drawer stores cotton pads, bandages, or small everyday items.

A brief history of the shelf
Long before becoming the sleek piece of furniture we know today, the shelf was merely a simple board of raw wood fixed in kitchens or workshops to keep tools within reach. It gained prestige in the 18th century under the name "gradin," finding its way into living rooms to display precious book bindings or fine porcelain. Its structure, free of doors or side panels, makes it the lightest piece of furniture in the home—a feat of minimalism that frees up floor space while dressing up the walls. Today, it serves not only to store but to showcase our daily lives, transforming a utilitarian surface into a true living picture that breathes and allows light to circulate.
