Its round shape and woven material give it a light presence, perfect for holding a lamp, a book, or a fruit bowl. It fits easily at the end of a sofa, next to an armchair, or as a discreet stand in a reading corner. A brief history of the side table
Born in the 17th century under the name "guéridon," the side table traces its origins to the Moorish slaves (called guéridons) depicted on the carved legs of the first models brought back from Italy. This versatile piece of furniture revolutionized social life at court by breaking the rigidity of large sideboards to create conversation islands anywhere in the room. Its light and compact structure was designed to be moved according to needs: placing a candlestick, a cup of tea, or a bedside book.
