With its dark wood and country style, this second-hand side table brings a warm and refined touch to a living room or bedroom. Its drawer offers discreet storage to keep glasses, a notebook, or a remote control within reach, while leaving the tabletop free for a lamp or a book. It slips easily against a wall, near an armchair, or at the end of a sofa, and naturally complements decor featuring wood and woven fibers. Its patinated look gives it a balanced presence, ideal for creating a reading nook or holding a cup and a few everyday objects. As a second-hand piece, it bears the memory of its past: a few signs of wear.

A brief history of the side table
Born in the 17th century under the name "guéridon," the side table owes its origin to the Moorish slaves (called guéridons) depicted on the carved legs of the first models brought back from Italy. This mobile piece of furniture revolutionized social life at court by breaking the rigidity of large sideboards to create conversation areas anywhere in the room. Its light and compact structure was designed to be moved as needed: to hold a candlestick, a cup of tea, or a bedside book.
